45WEST is on the top floor of a heritage building in Gastown, vacant for 40 years, and full of us since June of 2003. We have 2200 sq.ft. of shared studio space with high ceilings, hardwood floors, brick and timber construction a fresh coat of paint and refinished floors varnished for dancing.

Membership is $120/month. Members get keys, 24hr access to 2200 sq.ft. of studio space and 10hrs/month to book exclusive use of the the 1000 sq.ft. studio for private or group activities (i.e. rehearsals, workshops, classes, naps, etc.).

Our vision is to create a vibrant multi-use cultural and community space that accommodates multiple simultaneous uses. Dancers, actors, photographers, theatre companies, puppeteers and poets; two actors, a sculpture, two laptops, a sewing machine, and a dance troupe in the Studio. All at the same time.
